FROM PERUGIA TO PANTELLERIA WITH A DIRECT FLIGHT

The 2025 tourist season opens with great news for Pantelleria. The group of Pantelleria entrepreneurs gathered under the name of Welcome to Pantelleria is pleased to announce the opening of a new air connection from Perugia airport.
HelloFly, a Maltese company that has been working in collaboration for years with the largest air carriers on the European market, has already made official in recent days the new weekly route starting from June 7th and until September 27th that will connect the Umbrian capital with the island of Pantelleria.
It is important to underline that this result was achieved thanks to the synergic effort between the airline, the island institutions and the entrepreneurial class that decided to invest by weekly taking over empty and full seats on the outward and return route. A courageous investment, that of the island's tourist operators, a decision taken not without due uncertainty but necessary to achieve the desired goals for the island of Pantelleria. Last year, in fact, the same Welcome To Pantelleria group had already distinguished itself for a similar operation on the Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino routes. "This year's goal was to start again from the success of last season's operation by taking one more step, so we decided to open up to a new airport. These are necessary actions to expand the tourist catchment area that certainly require a risk but without which growth is not conceivable." The group has in fact announced that it is also in negotiations with Ita Airways to close, as already done in 2024, a program on the Linate and Fiumicino airports. The next appointment is for the BIT in Milan where the group will be present to continue promoting the island and the new connections. Tickets from Perugia can already be purchased through all the project partners, which can be consulted on the website  www.welcometopantelleria.it
